These Terms & Conditions apply to driving lessons provided by Next Gear Driving. By booking lessons with us, you agree to the terms below.

1. About Us

2. Lesson Bookings

  • All lessons must be booked in advance.
  • Lesson availability is subject to instructor availability.
  • Lessons are typically delivered in blocks agreed at the time of booking.
  • Lesson durations and prices will be confirmed before booking.

3. Payments

  • Payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking.
  • Block bookings may be offered at a discounted rate (where applicable).

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
  • Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
  • Missed lessons (no-shows) are chargeable.
  • In exceptional circumstances, discretion may be applied.

5. Instructor Cancellations

  • If we need to cancel a lesson, we will provide as much notice as possible.
  • Cancelled lessons by the instructor will be rescheduled or refunded.
  • We are not responsible for costs incurred due to lesson cancellations beyond the lesson fee.

6. Learner Responsibilities

Learners are expected to:

  • Hold a valid UK provisional driving licence
  • Bring their licence to the first lesson if requested
  • Be fit to drive (not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication affecting driving)
  • Wear appropriate footwear
  • Follow the instructor’s guidance during lessons

Lessons may be terminated if safety is compromised.

7. Driving Test Bookings

  • Driving test bookings are the responsibility of the learner.
  • Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a test is subject to instructor approval.
  • Test day vehicle use may require a separate fee.

8. Refunds

  • Refunds for unused lessons may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Any non-refundable elements will be explained at the time of booking.

9. Liability

  • We take all reasonable care to provide safe, professional instruction.
  • We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by factors outside our control (e.g. weather, road conditions).
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
